About The Artist

Christine Moseley

Christine Moseley is a mixed-media jewelry artist known for her wide variety in style and design. Her wearable art is chic, contemporary and elegant in presentation. Born in Mobile, Alabama and raised in Biloxi, Mississippi Christine began her creative journey in 2001 while designing earrings with her best friend at a New Year’s Eve gathering. Studio Eight-One-Eight has been in business for approximately ten years in some shape or fashion as a labor of love and an outlet for relaxation. In fact, when she and her husband travel, Christine is constantly on the lookout for unique gemstones, beads, shells or other media to continue her creative work in the studio!

Studio Eight One Eight

In case you are curious about the name Studio Eight-One-Eight, I have plenty of life experiences to thank for it. I wanted to choose something unique that described who I was both as an artist and a person. Let’s face it, life is challenging in many ways. That's why one of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:18,

“I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory about to be revealed to us.”

Although I don’t always succeed, I certainly try to look for the glory in each day I have been given. Add the word “studio” and Studio Eight-One-Eight became a reality.

Each piece of wearable art is rooted in rich color schemes found in nature. Using gemstones, crystals, metals and other media provide me with a wide palette for the creation of unique pieces that spark joy in the heart of the wearer!
